INSTRUMENTAL WITH LYRICS

Here’s a beautiful hymn written by Joseph M. Scriven, 1855, and set to music by Charles Crozat Converse, 1868. There is a great deal of symbolism in this video. The prayers are sent forth as letters, seen on the very first slide as multiple prayers (letters) sent to the throne of God. Thereon, every time the word “prayer” is sung, a prayer shoots forth to heaven. Jesus reaching out to us is pictured as the arms outstretching towards us, multiple times in the video. The closing scenes are a picture of entering into the “Holy of Holies” as each door opens and our prayers at last ‘break through’ into God’s presence.
